Mile Markers*, Transition Areas and Alternative Areas

Due to the large field teams may want to consider using the alternative areas to alleviate congestion. Alternative areas are suggestions only - there is no support available at those locations and your team is responsible for meeting at those locations. Teams can set up their own locations anywhere along the route as well.  This can adjust the distances to fit the team members ability.

Start - Boardwalk in Seaside Heights by Aztec Hotel 

Mile 1 – Fielder and Ocean Avenue on Ortley Beach Boardwalk

 Mile 2 – Elizabeth St on the Lavalette Boardwalk

 Detour on New York in Lavalette to Rt 35 – Return back on in two blocks on Virginia to Boardwalk.

 Mile 3 – Magee and Boardwalk in Lavalette

 Mile 4 – Kathryn St and Rt 35 – Lavalette

 Mile 5 – Silver Beach Blvd and Rt 35 – Dover Twp

 Mile 6 – Just South of E Marion and Rt 35 in Brick Beach

 Transition Area #1 – Brick Beach 1 - 6.63 Miles  (Alternative Transition Area - Brick Beach 2 which is about a half mile south on Rt 35)

 Mile 7 – Ocean View Ave and Rt 35 – Brick Beach

 Mile 8 – Carpenter Lane and Rt 35 – Mantaloking

 Mile 9 – 1063 Ocean Ave, Mantaloking

 Mile 10 – East Ave and Strickland – Bay Head

 Mile 11 – Near North End of East Avenue in Bay Head

 Mile 12 – New Jersey Avenue and Ocean Ave in Point Pleasant Beach

 Transition Area #2 – Broadway and Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach – 12.95 Miles (Alternative Transition Area By the Aquarium on the Boardwalk about a half mile south)

 Mile 13 – Parking Lot after transition Area

 13.1 Miles – At Inlet Drive Parking Lot – Point Pleasant Beach - (Good transition Area for 2 Person Teams)

 Mile 14 – Broadway and St Louis by Farrell’s in Point Pleasant Beach before the bridge

 Mile 15 – Homestead Rd and Green Ave, Brielle

 Mile 16 – Third Ave and Brielle Rd – Manasquan

Mile 17 - Brielle Rd and Boardwalk – Manasquan

 Transition Area #3 – Gee Gee’s – 17.14 Miles (Alternative transition Area - At South End of  Manasquan along the Inlet or at North End)

 Gate at the Army Camp 17.77 Miles

 Mile 18 – Inside Camp - midway

 Exit Gate out of Army Camp at 3^rd Ave in Sea Girt  – 18.31 Miles

 Mile 19 – South End of Sea Girt Boardwalk

 Mile 20 – Spring Lake – South End at Pier Beach Parking Lot – need sign

 Mile 21 – On Spring Lake Boardwalk across from Spring Lake Bath and Tennis

 Mile 22 – Very end of North End of Spring Lake Boardwalk

 Mile 23 – Belmar Boardwalk and 7^th Avenue

 Transition Area 4 – Belmar Fishing Club – 23.4 Miles (Alternative Transition Area - Belmar Boardwalk across from D-Jais or Dunkin Donuts - between 13th and 16th Ave)

Mile 24 – North Side of Avon Pavilion by Looney Family Bench

 Mile 25 – Bradley Beach Boardwalk at North Parking Lot by Emma Moffett Bench

 Mile 26 – Asbury Park Boardwalk just North of the Stone Pony near the next building on the boardwalk

 Finish – 26.2 Miles – At the Entrance of the Salt Water Café just before Convention Hall
